MELBOURNE'S COMPREHENSIVE COURSES
Our popular comprehensive course is designed for beginners and spans over 12 weeks. We will take you step by step from the very basics of music structure to all different styles of mixing, scratching and tricks in all different genres of music. Students will receive unlimited practice time and free private one-on-one tuitions throughout the 12 weeks for the complete hands-on training. All our tutors have minimum 20 years experience within the industry and have won numerous Australian DJ Championships. Lectures are held in group sessions one night per week with many established DJ's and guests from across Australia. Our school is renowned for it’s conception of DJ Seminars since 1993 and you are guaranteed at least one international guest throughout the term.
Johnny Gleeson has been teaching at the school since the early days when DJ Schools were nonexistent and helped us write curriculums and teaching methods which are now widely used within many new institutions here and abroad. His teaching methods helped many students to learn the art so quickly that he soon became our main instructor alongside Paul Holden, Pee Wee Ferris, KC and DJ ASK throughout the 90's. Johnny also helped establish the Advance courses in Sydney in 1999 and also appearing on BBC UK's Club Choice documentary of the School. Johnny has taught the art of mixing to thousands upon thousands of students who alongside many younger established jocks have all affectionately named him the Godfather.
One half of the chart topping "Southside Hustlers", solos recording artist, Pacha resident (Ibiza 2005), "Defected in the House" Resident (Sydney), and resident DJ at Sydney's number one Venue Tank. Johnny Gleeson is one of Australia's finest DJ/Producer exports. In the last year alone he has rocked dancefloors through London, Italy, Ibiza, New York, Miami, Beijing, Shanghai and almost all of the major Australian hotspots, released 5 successful singles and has one currently on Data (Ministry of Sound U.K) which recently hit No.5 in the Global DMC Dance and Mainstream charts and No.3 in the U.K club charts.
